The Legend of Ochi on lumoava fantasiaelokuva ennakkoluuloja rikkovasta ystävyydestä nuoren tytön ja pelätyn olennon, ochin, välillä. Kaukaisessa kylässä nuori Yuri on koko elämänsä ajan oppinut pelkäämään pimeyttä ja metsän varjoissa vaanivia petoja – ocheja. Mutta kun haavoittunut ochin poikanen eksyy laumastaan, Yuri ei voi kääntää sille selkäänsä. Hän päättää uhmata kyläläisten varoituksia ja isänsä kieltoja ja lähtee vaaralliselle matkalle palauttaakseen olennon kotiinsa – vaikka se saattaisi muuttaa kaiken, mihin hän on koskaan uskonut.
Elokuvan pääosissa nähdään nuori Helena Zengel Yurina, hänen isänään Maxina Willem Dafoe, erakoituneena äitinä Emily Watson sekä Finn Wolfhard.

The Legend of Ochi is an enchanting fantasy movie about prejudice breaking friendship between a young girl and feared creature, Ochi. Living in a remote village young Yuri has been taught to fear the dark and creatures living in the shadows of the forest – the Ochi. But when an injured baby Ochi gets lost from its herd, Yuri can’t turn her back on it. She decides to defy the warnings of the villagers and her father’s forbiddance and leaves for a dangerous adventure to return the creature back home – even if it changes everything she has ever believed in.
The film stars Zengel Yurina as young Helena, Willem Dafoe as her father, Emily Watson as her hermit mother and Finn Wolfhard.
