Witchfinder General (1968), Blood on Satan’s Claw (1971) ja Uhrijuhla (The Wicker Man, 1973). Nämä kolme elokuvaa loivat perustan kauhualagenrelle folk horror. Mutta seuraajia on ollut huomattavasti enemmän. Kier-La Janissen massiivisessa dokumentissa Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched: A History of Folk Horror yli 100 elokuvaa (mukana Suomesta Valkoinen peura [1952]) ja 50 haastattelua punovat definitiivisen historiikin lajityypistä, josta on tullut ajankohtaisempi kuin koskaan menestyselokuvien Midsommar (2019) ja The VVitch (2015) myötä.
