Tampereen elokuvafestivaalien yleisöpalkinnon voittanut Sopeutumaton-dokumenttielokuva kertoo UG-bileiden ja päihteiden loputtomaan virtaan vajonneesta erityisherkästä Kalliolaisnuoresta Nadjasta (24), joka etsii ulospääsyä tukalasta tilanteestaan. Arjen kaatuessa päälle ja mielen hyvinvoinnin rakoillessa ajautuu hän Päijänteen kaukaisimpaan saareen vanhaan erakon mökkiin rauhoittumaan. Luonnon hiljaisuudessa ja saarella eristyksissä hypersosiaalinen Nadja joutuu kohtaamaan pahimmat pelkonsa ja saa samalla yhteyden aikaa sitten menehtyneeseen mökin isäntään myyttiseen erakko Toivoon. Tästä käynnistyy matka ylisukupolvisten käyttäytymismallien nujertamiseksi, suvussa kulkevien outojen kykyjen ymmärtämiseksi ja kohti aikuisuutta.
Nadjan tarinan kautta elokuva käsittelee nuorten aikuisten mielen hyvinvointia nyky-yhteiskunnassa sekä luonnon ja self-helpin vaikutusta oman mielen eheytymiseen. Elokuvan seurantaosuus on kuvattu 6 vuoden aikana.

Winner of the Audience Award at the Tampere Film Festival, Sopeutumaton is a documentary about Nadja (24), a highly sensitive young woman from Helsinki’s Kallio district who has become caught in an endless cycle of underground parties and substance use. As everyday life begins to overwhelm her and her mental well-being deteriorates, she retreats to an old hermit’s cabin on a remote island in Lake Päijänne to find some peace. Cut off from the world and from the hypersocial life she is accustomed to, Nadja is forced to confront her deepest fears. At the same time, she forms a mysterious connection with the long-deceased owner of the cabin, the legendary hermit Toivo. This marks the beginning of a journey toward breaking intergenerational patterns, understanding the unusual abilities that run in her family, and finding her way into adulthood.
Through Nadja’s story, the film explores the mental well-being of young adults in contemporary society and the role of nature and self-help in healing and restoring the mind. The documentary was filmed over a period of six years.
