In 1923, the groundbreaking, trendsetting, and iconic artist Man Ray improvised his first short film, Le Retour à la raison. Together with the subsequent works Emak Bakia, L’Étoile, and Les Mystères du château de Dé, it constitutes Man Ray’s major contribution to the art of cinema. In 2023, the four films were restored and newly scored by Jim Jarmusch and Carter Logan with their band Sqürl. Return to Reason is a 100-year celebration of Man Ray’s art in 4K resolution.
