When inhabitants of Jeju Island started revolting against South Korea\u2019s government, they were labeled as sympathisers of the North. What followed was a massacre of civilians. But who is right in this complex political situation? As the protagonists of the film say: \u201cEven if a good world comes, but my family is all dead, what kind of good world is that?\u201d The title of the film refers to a flower that stubbornly survives on the volcanic Mt. Halla.
